All tours are designed to give you a truly intimate encounter with these gentle giants of the ocean. It’s important to do your own research before taking a tour to make sure the operator is running their tours in a way that does not cause harm to the whales. Most operators in Hervey Bay are Eco Certified but it’s great to educate yourself on the initiatives they undertake to help the environment. In Australia the law does not allow tour boats to run their motors if they are within 300 metres of any whale.
